Read on to find out what topics have got Tom ticking this season…
What’s been inspiring you and your material for your upcoming set at MICF 2018?
“The Yes vote, my attempts at being a parent and weird run-ins with Hard Quiz fans.”
What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently that won’t make it into the set?
“I’ve been doing stand-up for over 20 years. It all goes in the set.”
If you could only tell jokes about one topic, what would it be?
“Religion. I love rubbing people the wrong way.”
What is the one joke you wish you’d written?
“What did the still water say to the sparkling water? “Calm down mate.”
My 6 year old daughter made that up.”
Is MICF really all coffee runs and late nights, or do you manage to explore the city?
“I live an hour out of town so I explore the inside of the Comedy Theatre, the inside of my car and the inside of my lounge room.”
Any other comedians you’re looking forward to seeing new material from this year?
“Sure! I always look forward to seeing what material Damien Power has been chiseling away at.”
What’s the one bit of advice you wish you’d been given earlier in your career?
“Shave off those sideburns.”
