The Production Company reveals 20th anniversary season

The Production Company brings Oklahoma, The Boy from Oz and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder to Melbourne in 2018.

The Production Company opened the doors to their decadent base at Kew’s historic Raheen mansion today, welcoming press and industry along to the launch of their 2018 season.

Extra celebrations were in order for the company, as they arrive in their 20th anniversary year.

“I started The Production Company 20 years ago to provide opportunities for the extraordinary talent in Australia,” explains The Production Company Chairman, Jeanne Pratt AC. “Now, when I look back on the hundreds of artists who have worked with us, the list includes veritable Who’s Who of current musical theatre stars. I couldn’t be more proud.”

To celebrate their landmark year, The Production Company have unveiled a stellar 2018 lineup of musicals.

Continuing their tradition of hosting three key productions in Melbourne, they confirmed the arrival of Oklahoma!, The Boy from Oz and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder.

The three shows will again take place at Arts Centre Melbourne, taking up the following formation:

Oklahoma! – State Theatre – 11 performances between 26 May and 3 June

Starring Simon Gleeson as Curly Mclain, Anna O’Byrne as Laurey Williams, Elise McCann as Ado Annie Carnes, Bobby Fox as Will Parker, Robyn Nevin as Aunt Eller Murphy, Ben Mingay as Jud Fry and Richard Piper as Andrew Carnes.

The Boy from Oz – State Theatre – 11 performances between 11 and 19 August

Starring Rohan Browne as Peter Allen, Caroline O’Connor as Judy Garland and Matthew Manahan as Greg Connell.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder – Playhouse – 18 performances between 27 October and 11 November

Starring Mitchell Butel as all eight members of the D’ysquith Family, Chris Ryan as Monty Navarro, Amy Lehpamer as Sibella Hallward, Genevieve Kingsford as Phoebe D’ysquith and Nance Hayes as Miss Shingle.
