The biggest event on Perth's calendar, the Perth Royal Show, starts this weekend.

The Perth Royal Show is back. Starting this Saturday 22 September and running for a week to Saturday 29 September, this is the perfect one to get the kids out of the house these holidays. We will give you a full rundown of everything you need to know before heading to the Show this year.

The main deets

When: 22 – 29 September
Where: Claremont Showground – 1 Graylands Road, Claremont, WA
How to get there: Trains on the Fremantle line will stop at the Showgrounds Station. Buses 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 98/99 (circle route), 102, 103 and 107 all stop close by as well. Head here to plan your journey. There will be limited parking at a charge available, but taking public transport is recommended. Get all the parking details here.
Tickets: Grab your tickets online and save up to nearly 15% than at the gate. Plus, you’ll avoid all the queues and walk straight through.
Adult tickets (16 and over) are still only $26 online, whilst kids are just $13.

Then of course, the rides are what makes the Show. There is plenty for the real adrenaline junkies, as well as the not so thrill-seeking inclined. You can check out all of the rides at the Show here and figure out exactly which spots you want to hit…for the organised ones out there.

Entertainment

There is lots happening over the seven days by way of entertainment. Of course there will be the Firework Spectacular, which the Show wouldn’t be complete without. There are some special live acts including Shannon Noll and ‘The Voice’ Grand Finalist Sam Perry. There are lots more interesting performances to check out as well, including hypnotists, pro wrestling and many more.
