St Kilda Film Festival wraps up its epic 2017 program this weekend but before its final curtain call, there’s still plenty to see.

Proudly presented and produced by the City of Port Phillip, the St Kilda Film Festival is one of Australia’s largest and oldest short film festivals.

The Festival celebrates and supports the Australian film industry by turning the spotlight on a wide range of exceptional films by both emerging talent and accomplished industry professionals, competing for over $50,000 worth of prizes.

Here are some highlights to see before the festival’s final day on Saturday (27 May):

SoundKILDA

Thursday 25 May

Australia’s only dedicated music video competition, SoundKILDA, celebrates and screens music videos the way they should be – loud and large on the big screen followed by an after party.

Australia’s Top 100 Short Films

Showing until Saturday 27 May

Australia’s 2017 Top 100 Short Films will be showcased over a number of screenings throughout the Festival week.

Tokyo Short Shorts

Saturday 27 May

St Kilda Film Festival hosts a specially curated program of films from the Tokyo Short Shorts Film Festival, featuring incredible examples of fiction, animation and drama from cutting edge Japanese film makers.
