The Woolworths Slide unveiled at Marvel Stadium

The Woolworths Slide has just been unveiled for this BBL season at Marvel Stadium.

The Woolworths Slide will take over Bay 32 at Marvel Stadium for the entirety of the 2018/19 BBL season.

The Melbourne Renegades will take five home and away games to Marvel Stadium this season, starting tonight (20 December) with the Perth Scorchers.

What’s the Slide?

An entire seating bay (Bay 32) has been removed on the lower level at Marvel Stadium to make way for an 11-metre inflatable slide. The slide will be in action for the entirety of all Melbourne Renegades matches this BBL season.

Kids in attendance at Renegades matches will enjoy endless fun on the Woolworths Slide, in addition to the intense, big-hitting cricket on display.

Opening Game

The Renegades opening game of the season takes place tonight (20 December), as they take on the Perth Scorchers at 7.15pm. The clash also plays host to ‘FMXmas’, with freestyle motocross shows to be performed on the ground, both pre-game and in the innings break.

After just falling in the semi-finals last season, the Renegades are primed for another big season of BBL action. Star recruit Dan Christian adds some serious firepower to the squad after crossing over from the Hobart Hurricanes. Christian will also take on Vice-Captaincy duties while Tom Cooper steps in as Captain as Aaron Finch is on International duties.
