Our very own women’s National football team, the Westfield Matildas, are coming to Perth. The ladies will be taking on Thailand at 6pm on Monday 26 March at nib Stadium.

The match will be the first time our National women’s team has played in Perth, marking a momentous occasion for the team currently taking the world by storm.

They will be playing as preparation for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup, an International tournament between nations in Asia, that will be held in April this year in Jordan.

The game will feature stars such as local hero Sam Kerr, Lisa De Vanna and Steph Catley. Along with the rest of her national teammates, Kerr is currently taking over women’s football. Arguably one of the best players in the world, Kerr currently plies her trade for local side Perth Glory, as well as Chicago Red Stars in the United States whilst the W-League is in its off-season.

Fans are sure to flock to nib Stadium just to watch Kerr in action on the big stage, having already scored 19 goals in 57 appearances for the Matildas.

The Matildas are currently ranked number #4 in women’s football, highlighting the dominance of the side at present. They are in great form in recent times also, having won their last six games on Australian soil, as well as their last seven in total.

This is sure to be a display that fans across Western Australia, and the rest of the country, will not want to miss.

Tickets are now available for only $20 for adults*, and $10 for kids* via Ticketmaster.com.au.
