The summer of cricket has begun, with cricket returning to Perth next Friday 8 November.

Our Aussies return to home soil, kicking it all off with a couple of T20 series.

Currently, in the midst of a three-match series against Sri Lanka, Australia will then host Pakistan in another three-match T20 series in November.

The first time cricket returns to Perth this summer will be on Friday 8 November in the third and final match of the series against Pakistan.

It is a precursor to the Test Series v New Zealand later in the summer, taking place from Sunday 8 until Sunday 15 December.

Perth Stadium is the new pinnacle of Australia’s sporting landscape, ready to host its third summer of cricket in November and December.

The Aussies’ summer got off to a blistering start with a 134 run victory over Sri Lanka, posting a total of 233.

The third-largest T20 International winning margin ever (between Test nations), it also marked Australia’s highest T20 total on home soil.

David Warner was back to his stunning best, knocking a ton not-out off just 56 balls, with Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell deputizing perfectly to reach the 60s themselves, and virtually obliterate the need for our remaining batting lineup.

It sets Australia up for what should be a massive summer of results, with everything going the Aussies’ way leading to a possible number one T20 ranking.

Our next opponents, Pakistan, are currently the number one T20 nation, so a massive series against them would do wonders.
