With a first entertainment lineup of Muse, Fatboy Slim, Toots and the Maytals and Larkin Poe, we didn’t think the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2019 could get much bigger – but their second wave of artists have definitely proved us wrong.

Taking place next September, some of the world’s biggest music acts will feature across the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix’s three days.

2018’s event saw 263,000 attendees at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, making it the second-highest three-day attendance in the race’s 11-year history. 2019 promises more thrilling off-track offerings with huge live performances planned across nine stages.

With more than a decade spent lighting up dancefloors and heaving international festival stages thanks to global hits like Don’t You Worry Child, Save The World and One (Your Name), international superstars Swedish House Mafia sure know how to get a crowd going. They returned to the live stage at the end of 2018, after last performing in Singapore in 2013 as part of their farewell tour. They’re set to bring their huge live show to Zone 4’s Padang Stage on Friday 20 September.

For the first time in 17 years, Californian rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers are slated to return to Singapore shores. They bring with them more than three decades worth of rock, funk, and punk blended jams – including three albums that have never before been performed in Singapore. If their history tells us anything, it’s hard to predict what we can expect from a Chili Peppers show – but as well as choice cuts from their latest album The Getaway, we’re sure to be singalong to their greatest hits like By the Way, Can’t Stop, Otherside, and Californication. It’s going down on Zone 4’s Padang Stage on Sunday 22 September.

As the first solo female artist to receive the Grammy for Best Rap Album for her debut record Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B is an absolute force. Throw in her unapologetic attitude and pure-fire stage performance and it isn’t hard to see why she is leading the rap world right now. In 2018, Time magazine named her one of the 100 Most Influential People In The World and her latest live shows have been described as nothing short of “victorious” and “important”. Her debut Singapore performance is set to be one to remember, and it’s going down on Saturday 21 September on Zone 4’s Padang Stage.

And finally, award-winning composer – and the man behind some of the most brilliant film soundtracks and scores of all time (we’re definitely just talking about The Lion King) – Hans Zimmer will take fans on an orchestrated musical journey through The World of Hans Zimmer. With music from The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight trilogy, and Inception all under his belt, expect to hear the music you’ve known for years in a completely new light. He’ll take over The Wharf Stage in Zone 1 on Sunday 22 September.

Hans Zimmer - Circle Of Life

With over 100 hours of non-stop top-notch entertainment across nine stages throughout the Circuit Park, the action definitely doesn’t stop on the racetrack. As well as a stellar first lineup, you can also catch sets from Scottish pop rock band Texas, singer-songwriter J.S. Ondara, Raja Kumari, Jupiter & Okwess, NJWA, Parekh & Singh, Ffion, Glen Wee, Gym and Swim, Swoon, Troy, Wolfgang Flür, DJ Lizzy and Mantravine.

The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2019  will take place at Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore from Friday 20 September until Sunday 22 September. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com.au.
