Music and bull-riding are set to come together for one action-packed night when Rodeo 4 Life lands in Wollongong later this month.

Rodeo 4 Life stands as Australia’s richest bull ride, though more than just an arena spectacular some of Australia’s toughest bull riding champions, the event supports an incredible cause by aiming to save lives through funding vital research at the RPA Transplant Institute.

Twenty-five champion cowboys from across Australia will compete, including bull riding superstars Cliff Richardson, Troy Wilkinson, Wade McCarthy, Mathew Bee, and Troy Cross. They’ll be joined by young gun cowboys already with a string of titles under their belts including Wyatt Milgate, Sam Woodall, and Joe Down (VIC).

They’ll all be going for gold, fighting the odds to stay mounted for the full eight seconds on the legendary JP Gill and Sons’ mightiest rodeo bulls in the hopes of taking home the Rodeo 4 Life inaugural title and a whopping $30,000 in prize money.

In an Australian first, the event will combine electrifying rodeo sports entertainment with live music. Seven-time Golden Guitar winner and back-to-back CMC Male Artist of the Year, Travis Collins will perform some of his greatest hits including ‘Happy’, ‘Thank God I’m A Country Boy’, and his latest tune ‘Make Up’.

“While music, songwriting, recording and performing is my life, there is something very special about being part of something bigger that has the power to save the lives of many,” Collins says. “We want everyone to come along for an explosive night of country music and rodeo sports entertainment to help save lives.”

It wouldn’t be a rodeo spectacular without Australia’s legendary rodeo clown Big Al Wilson, rodeo protection clown Gene McDonald, and rodeo announcer Glen Morgan, so of course they’ll be part of the festivities too.
