Football February / Preview
The Newcastle Jets enjoy a run of three more home games for the remainder of February, including their AFC Champions League clash.
Newcastle Jets may not have backed up the lofty heights of last year’s Grand Final appearance, but there is still plenty for the Jets to play for in 2019.
Next up is the Jets AFC Champions League clash on Tuesday night (12 February), with their opponent now confirmed. Tickets are now on sale, as they prepare to face Indonesian side Persija Jakarta who knocked off Singapore’s Home United in the first preliminary round. The second preliminary round clash will see the winner head to Japan just a week later to face Kashima Antlers in the play-off before the group stage sides are finalised. A win in both matches will see the Jets placed in Group E, facing South Korea’s Gyeongnam FC and Malaysia’s Johor Darul Ta’zim.
