Melbourne Victory take on Brisbane Roar this Saturday night in their final Marvel Stadium clash of the regular A-League season.

With only six rounds left until the finals take place, Victory will be looking to get their form back on track to lock down a home final, or even better secure a first-round finals bye.

Victory went down in their first clash of the AFC Champions League group stage last week against South Korean side Daegu FC, and head to Japan tonight to face Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Victory will be expecting supporters out in force on Saturday night as they face the lowly Brisbane Roar, who have only managed three wins this season. Fans will be expecting a clinical display from the boys in blue, currently sitting four points behind second-placed Sydney FC, with a +1 goal difference.

Sitting in third place, leap-frogging Sydney FC would secure a straight passage to week 2 of the A-League finals series. A third or fourth-placed finish will lock in a home final in week 1, and an away final if they were to win in week 1.

Victory’s Kosta Barbarouses currently sits in fourth on the goalscoring tally with 11, three goals behind Roy Krishna and Adam Le Fondre. Swedish star striker Ola Toivonen sits one behind him with 10. Barbarouses has been pivotal for the Victory this season, alongside midfielder James Troisi, who currently sits equal first in the competition for assists.
