The Red Devils will take on the A-League’s Perth Glory (Saturday 13 July) and fellow English rivals Leeds United (Wednesday 17 July) at Optus Stadium in Perth next year. It will form part of United’s 2019/20 Premier League pre-season preparations. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.au.
Manchester United are the most successful Premier League side, boasting an incredible 13 titles, and house a host of world-class talent in their squad. Fans will be treated to several of the world’s best players right on their doorstep, with a strong squad expected to arrive.
Fans are expected to travel from right across the globe to see United in action, with tickets for both matches likely to go quickly. First up, United will take on our very own Perth Glory. It’s still early days in the A-League this season, but sitting pretty four points clear on top of the table and undefeated, Glory look like serious Championship contenders this season. This sets up what should be an exciting battle with a reinvigorated Glory side now including several Socceroos, as well as Championship winning Manager Tony Popovic.
Manchester United will then battle bitter Northern English rivals Leeds United. The two sides’ rivalry is one of the strongest in English football, and with Leeds United serious promotion contenders back to the top flight, it could grow even more intense leading into the 2019/20 season. It will be the first time the two sides have clashed since 2011.
