ICC Cricket World Cup public ballot is open
The public ballot for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales is now open.
Considering travelling for the ICC Cricket World Cup in the United Kingdom next year? Well, the public ballot to apply for tickets is now open.
The ballot will close at 5am on Thursday 30 August 2018 (AEST), so make sure you get your selections in soon.
The tournament will be played throughout England and Wales, across 11 venues, from 30 May to 14 July 2019. You are now able to put in a request for all 48 matches of the tournament.
The 2019 format will see 10 teams competing in the tournament, with all to play against each other in a single-league format. After 45 matches, the top four sides will then qualify for semi-finals before the final. The 10 teams competing England, South Africa, Windies, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh and India.
Australia are the most successful team in the history of the World Cup as five-time tournament winners, including the latest ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015, leaving us as the reigning champions. Australia will take on Afghanistan first up on Saturday June 1 in Bristol.
The tournament’s semi-finals will take place on 9 and 11 July, at Old Trafford and Edgbaston respectively, before the final at Lords on 14 July.
