Footy throwbacks never looked this good

It’s Retro Round this Saturday at GMHBA Stadium as Geelong take on North Melbourne.

Both sides will don a retro guernsey in a throwback to footy’s glory days. This is the third instalment of the round on Geelong’s calendar – Patrick Dangerfield even repped a pretty nice mo last season.

There will be free special edition retro footy cards available for collection if you arrive early to the ground. Plus, for the very first time, you can get a photo with all nine Cats Premiership Cups, with proceeds from the photos going towards the Geelong Cats Foundation.

The VFL curtain-raiser against North will also be held prior to the AFL action, starting at 3.45pm. Gates open at 3.15pm.

Geelong head into the clash on top of the ladder, but North will be itching after a big win last week, and a sneaky late Finals run a slim – but very possible – chance.

The Cats themselves will be desperate to lock down top spot and a secure themselves a home final, especially after their loss last week leaves them ahead of West Coast and Brisbane on percentage only, with both teams sitting at 14 wins apiece.

Geelong will take on North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 10 August at 7.25pm. Tickets to the clash are available now from Ticketmaster.com.au.
