Edinburgh Air Show takes off this weekend
This weekend you can venture inside the RAAF Base in Edinburgh, Adelaide.
Held at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base in Edinburgh, on Adelaide’s outskirts, the Edinburgh Air Show will take place this weekend.
Tickets to the show start at just $30* for adult general admission entry, or $60* for a family of four ticket.
What to expect
As you venture into the RAAF Base, you will be treated to a rare glimpse into the Australian Defence Force’s very latest and most advanced military aircrafts. This includes the latest fifth-generation fighter, the F-35A Lightning II.
There will be vintage aircrafts on display, as well as an inside look in the latest Defence and aviation technologies.
Plus, what’s an Air Show without a flying display? You won’t leave disappointed with over four hours each day dedicated to witnessing these majestic aircrafts taking flight, including the full range of ADF fast jets.
The full schedule for the event can be found here.
Vimy to Fifth Generation in 100 years
The Air Show will be commemorating the Centenary of the amazing feat in 1919, as South Australians, Sir Ross Smith and brother Sir Keith Smith flew from England to Australia in a Vickers Vimy to win the Great Air Race.
All Air Show tickets will include free public transport to and from the RAAF Base Edinburgh on the day of your ticket.
Edinburgh Air Show takes over Edinburgh’s RAAF Base on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November. In order to avoid queues at the gate, pre-purchase your tickets from Ticketmaster.com.au.
