Easter footy is here
Nothing beats bingeing footy over a long weekend.
There’s plenty to like about this weekend’s Easter footy action.
Brisbane v Collingwood
It all starts at The Gabba tomorrow night (18 April) as Brisbane look to sell out The Gabba for the first time in nine years, facing Collingwood in Thursday night action.
In arguably the match of the round, the Lions have started the year on fire, but are looking to bounce back after last week’s defeat to Essendon. Taking on last year’s runners up sets up a tense and tight affair.
Tickets to the clash, starting at 7:35pm can be found here.

North Melbourne v Essendon
The first of two mouth-watering Good Friday (19 April) clashes takes us to Marvel Stadium for North Melbourne v Essendon at 4:20pm.
The third annual ‘Kick for the Kids’ match supports the Good Friday Appeal and The Royal Childrens Hospital. $5 from every adult tickets $10 from family tickets go directly to the Appeal, whilst kids get in free.
Both sides are coming off big wins and appear to have found their form after early season jitters, again setting up what should be a close encounter.
Check out all the Marvel action that is going across the Stadium this season here, and meet all your favourite superheroes.
West Coast v Port Adelaide
In the second Good Friday (19 April) clash, West Coast face Port Adelaide at Optus Stadium, starting at 6:10pm (AWST).
Currently sitting in fourth spot, the reigning Premiers have won their past three. Whilst two narrow losses have halted Port Adelaide’s brilliant start to the year, their quality is clearly there to see and will definitely push West Coast right to the line on Friday.
Richmond v Sydney
In their only home clash at Marvel Stadium this year, Richmond host Sydney on Saturday night (20 April), starting at 7:25pm.
The Tigers will regain superstar Dustin Martin from suspension, whilst defender Bachar Houli is a chance to return for his first game since round one.
The Tigers are up and about after a stunning victory with a depleted side against Port Adelaide last week, and will be looking to put a struggling Sydney outfit to the sword in the only Saturday night clash this week.
How good has this bloke been this season?
Western Bulldogs v Carlton
The Doggies shocked many with their start to the season with two wins, before two honourable losses. They’re still seen as a strong force this season and would definitely be harbouring finals aspirations, meaning this clash is a must-win.
The Blues themselves are sick of honourable losses after yet another close one last week, and will be seriously hungry to grab their first win of the year.
The two face off on Easter Sunday, starting at 1:10pm at Marvel Stadium. Tickets to the game are here.
