Following the release of Red Bull’s 2018 Formula 1 car, the RB14, Daniel Ricciardo has taken it out for a spin and initial testing at Silverstone.

Sporting dark black and blue livery, Red Bull were third to reveal their car for this season, although the first major competitor to do so.

Ricciardo described the initial feeling of the car as good, and that the “rear of the car feels pretty settled”.

The addition of a new ‘halo’ has been dividing the opinion of fans and drivers alike, but Ricciardo has stated that he doesn’t see an issue with the design and “didn’t really notice it was there”.

Ricciardo, along with his young Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen, will be looking for his first Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship in 2018, with a previous highest finish of third. He will also be searching for his first Formula 1 win on home soil, as he competes in the Formula 1 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix next month.

The event is the first race on the Formula 1 calendar and will this year be held from 22 – 25 March, with the main race occurring on the Sunday 25 March 2018.

The race will once again be held at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit in Melbourne, and is the largest motorsport event in Australia, drawing in F1 fans from across the globe, with almost 300,000 attending the 2017 event.

Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com.au, but if you’re looking for Grandstand seating you had better be quick with several stand tickets selling very quickly.
