There are still some tickets remaining to see Chelsea take on Perth Glory at Optus Stadium this July, but be quick to score yours.

The powerhouses of England and Europe will be coming to Perth as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2018/19 Premier League season, kicking off in early August.

Despite a relatively poor campaign by their lofty standards, Chelsea are still sitting in fifth place in the league this season behind Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham, currently eight points off Champions League qualification for next season.

The match will be played on Monday 23 July at Perth’s Optus Stadium, the new pinnacle in Australia’s sporting venues holding a capacity of 60,000 seats.

Chelsea last arrived in Australia in 2015, taking on Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium, which saw the English side deliver a 1-0 win. Current superstars Eden Hazard and Cesar Azpilicueta started in that game, whilst Andreas Christensen and Charly Musonda appeared off the bench as Chelsea fielded a strong side for the preseason fixture.

Fans can expect more of the same as they arrive three years on, with Chelsea FC Chairman, Bruce Buck, assuring supporters: “We will be taking a strong squad to Perth as we prepare for the 2018/19 season.”

Tickets start from $49.83, giving fans every reason to catch the Premier League and European heavyweights in action.
