2018 FA Cup Champions Chelsea FC will take on Perth Glory at Optus Stadium in just seven days, and have made several significant announcements ahead of the game.

Having confirmed the departure of Manager Antonio Conte, Chelsea have announced the signing of new Manager, Maurizio Sarri. The 59-year old Italian is fresh from a three-year stint at Serie A side Napoli, helping to return the club to Champions League football in that time, as well as two second-place finishes in the league. Sarri’s first match in charge of the club will take place right here in Australia as Chelsea’s clash with the A-League’s Perth Glory.

Chelsea have also confirmed several key players to take part in the clash, with Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, David Luiz and Marcos Alonso all set to play. With honours at the highest level of world football sprawled across the four players, Australian fans will be graced by the presence of true football royalty next week.

Spanish duo Cesc Fabregas and Pedro are both World Cup winners with Spain in 2010. David Luiz was a member of Chelsea’s first Champions League title in 2012, whilst Marcos Alonso has developed into one of the finest full-back’s in the Premier League, earning a position at left-back in the 2017/18 PFA Team of the Year.

The club have also announced an open training session in Perth prior to the clash next Monday. Chelsea will be at the WACA on Saturday 21 July at 6pm with fans encouraged to get along to see the stars in action before they take centre stage at Optus Stadium.

With 60,000 fans expected at Optus Stadium, limited tickets are still available to see some of the best the World Game has to offer, so snap up your tickets now at Ticketmaster.com.au.
