Tickets for Brisbane Lion‘s 2018 AFL fixtures are now on sale, which means it’s time to see how the team is shaping up for the year ahead.

With some key new recruits strengthening their side, it looks like Brisbane Lions are all set to kick off a fresh season.

Number #1 draft pick, 18-year-old Cam Rayner, promises to make himself known on the field, alongside Adelaide superstar, Charlie Cameron and Hawthorn’s Luke Hodge, who will take on a mentoring role in place of Tom Rockliff (now Port Adelaide).

Meanwhile Dayne Beams takes on skipper duties for another season, with Stefan Martin, Allen Christensen, Ryan Lester and Harris Andrews making up the rest of the leadership group.

“I couldn’t be more happy to lead the group in 2018,” Beams told AFL.com. “Last year was a good learning experience for me.

“Twelve months later and I’m still really excited and enthusiastic about what this team can achieve.”

With big plans to improve their fortunes this season, key fixtures will see Brisbane Lions face Collingwood, Hawthorn and Essendon throughout 2018.
