The BBL season is almost done and dusted with finals just two weeks away.

See available tickets

The end of the BBL season is nigh, and what a rollercoaster it has been.

The extended season has definitely been of benefit to several teams, while halting the early season form of others. Finals action is just two weeks away, with spots still fluid and everything to play for.

The finals will consist of two semi-finals on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 February (TBD), before the final on Sunday 17 February (TBD). So, who’s going to be there?

The ladder, at time of writing, sits with the Hurricanes on top, followed by the Sixers, Renegades, and Stars rounding out the four. Sydney Thunder are still right there and a couple of good results will upset the apple cart. The Strikers sit sixth, and while it would be a big ask, they are still within touching distance.

Top two games to come

We have gone ahead and pinpointed our top two clashes remaining in the race for a finals spot.

         1. Renegades v Thunder | Wednesday 30 January – Marvel Stadium

It’s the Renegades final game at Marvel Stadium in the regular season. Currently sitting sixth, a win for the ‘Gades will go a very long way to locking away a finals spot and will definitely help in a home final bid. The Thunder will certainly not be lying down, with absolutely everything to play for to secure a top-four berth. Find your tickets here.

2. Hurricanes v Strikers | Thursday 31 January – UTAS Stadium

We see last year’s Grand Final replayed as the Hurricanes return to Launceston to host the Strikers. Can the Hurricanes finish the season strongly and maintain their much-deserved place at the top of the table? Are the Strikers any chance for an upset to try and sneak back into the top four? This game has it all and will certainly be putting on a world-class display. Find your tickets here.

        3. Scorchers v Stars | Sunday 3 February – Optus Stadium

While the Scorchers may be out of contention, this is the final game at Optus Stadium for the season…and don’t we love that venue! Optus is amazing to watch live sport at, and as the final game for the season, we expect fans to turn up in droves. What’s more, the Stars will be laying it all on the line in order to lock away finals action after a late-season resurgence. This promises to be a very enticing clash and could the be all and end all for the Stars. Find your tickets here.
