All the on-court action at next year’s Australian Open is sure to have you working up an appetite so we’re excited to tell you about the incredible food offerings they’ll be serving up around Melbourne Park in 2020.

And the best bit is, a ground pass gives you access to it all.

Grand Slam Oval is set to showcase the best of Victoria alongside a smorgasbord of international flavours across its 2020 offering.

Leading the way is one of Australia’s youngest hatted chefs from Atlas Dining, Charlie Carrington, whose restaurant Lomah (Land of Milk and Honey) will be serving up healthy, delicious, Mediterranean food. Carrington says he is excited to be amongst the ‘Best of Victoria’ food and beverage pop-up options.

“Lomah will delight tennis fans with a range of fresh, vibrant, tasty and healthy Mediterranean street food choices at the Australian Open in 2020.

“We will feature delicious homemade falafels, lamb and chicken to accompany our uniquely flavoured combinations and salads. We are currently working hard, testing some unique creations just for GSO,” he says.

Joining Lomah at Grand Slam Oval is a host of Victoria’s favourite eateries, divided into Eastside, Northside, and Countryside. Greek-inspired restaurant Hellenic Republic returns, as does crowd-pleasing wine tasting experience, The Vault, Mr Miyagi will bring their modern take on traditional Japanese, Biggie Smalls will serve up their new-school kebabs, and Cacao will treat your sweet tooth.

One of the best ways to utilise your ground pass it by taking yourself on a Melbourne Park food safari. Head towards Garden Square and the Western Courts and you’ll find 400 Gradi‘s acrobatic pizza makers or The Panty Group’s Willy’s Chicken and  Royale Bros Burgers.

The AO Live Stage will treat music fans to a mixed bag of fabulous food trucks for a quick bite, while those who want to opt-in for a sit-down meal can stop by for a three-course, five-star fine dining experience courtesy of Neil Perry’s Rockpool or a taste of innovative new-style Japanese cuisine at Nobu.
