Perth Stadium is going to be red-hot during the summer of cricket Down Under for our Aussies.

First up is a Twenty/20 International against world number 1 side Pakistan.

Perfect preparation for the upcoming 2020 T/20 World Cup, we see the Aussies test themselves against the best in the world, less than a year out from the tournament.

Held on Friday 8 November, what better way to kickstart the weekend and dive into the summer nice and early.

Then in December, the cricket is back in Perth, with the first of a three-test series against New Zealand held at Perth Stadium.

A day-night test – the very first in the state – will take place from Thursday 12 through to Monday 16 December.

What better venue to host a day-night test than Perth Stadium, with arguably the world’s best stadium lighting system sure to put on a mesmerising display.

It will be just the second test match at the new venue.

Australia Cricket

The side

Our superstar phenom Steve Smith is back in a big way after a scintillating performance at The Ashes, rewarded with the much-deserved player of the series. Averaging over 100 with the bat in the series, the English had seemingly no answers for Smith, and we’re hoping (and pretty confident) New Zealand will be the same.

Australia seems to have unearthed another star batsman in Marnus Labuschagne, ultimately taking the number three spot with a tremendous series.

Our fast bowling lineup saw some change throughout the series, with all of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, James Pattinson, Josh Hazlewood, Peter Siddle, and Mitch Marsh afforded a chance to prove their wares.

Which big guns will be there come the opening Test against our New Zealand counterparts?

Signs are looking promising for the summer Down Under.

Tickets to Perth Stadium to witness both the T/20 International v Pakistan (Friday 8 November) and Test v New Zealand (Thursday 12 December – Monday 16 December) are available at Ticketmaster.com.au.
