Ticketmaster in the fast lane with Formula E partnership
Ticketmaster International has announced a new global partnership with the FIA Formula E Championship to provide ticketing operations for their events around the world.
Formula E is a new racing offering that features single occupant vehicles that are completely powered by electric energy. Similar to Formula 1, Formula E races will be held in some of the most-famous cities throughout the world including London, Buenos Aires and Miami.
For each Formula E event around the world, Ticketmaster will provide ticketing services and project management for the ePrix events where Ticketmaster already has an established presence. As a global company, Ticketmaster has the reach and resources necessary to partner with an organisation such as FIA Formula E and provide ticketing at so many events around the world.
The first ever Formula E race was held in Beijing earlier this month with the next event scheduled for November 22 in Malaysia. The Championship will feature 10 teams and 20 drivers battling it out on temporary street tracks around landmarks of many of the world’s most remarkable cities. Formula E has been created to appeal to the next generation of racing fan and also to promote the ongoing development of electric cars.
