The publicly voted category has just been added to The Industry Observer Awards 2018
Whether you love local shows or sell-out stadium affairs, we’ve all got a music venue that’s particularly close to our hearts.
We like to see them appreciated too, and as fans, we like to make sure just about everyone we meet knows exactly what kind of gigs go down at our favourite establishment.
Now’s your chance to shout out your most-loved venue for all to hear, by voting for them in the ‘Venue of the Year’ category at The Industry Observer Awards 2018, presented by TicketWeb.
We’re stoked to help TIO recognise Australia’s music venues in their inaugural awards alongside categories including ‘Guardian of the Year’, ‘Publicist of the Year’ and ‘The Industry Impact Award’.
The awards set out to recognise the hard work that goes on behind the scenes in music, with categories covering everything from management and publishing, to publicity and community radio.
So we reckon it’s pretty important that venues are in there too!

Celebrating the intangible qualities provided by live music venues all across Australia, the ‘Venue of the Year’ award will be the only publicly voted category, and for good reason.

The ‘Venue of the Year’ category welcomes nominations from venues of all size, whether it’s a small bar, converted record store, suburban haunt, or multi-tier arena.

The Industry Observer Awards 2018, presented by TicketWeb, will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday 27 March 2018. Tickets are available via Ticketweb.com.au and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Attendance is open to the general public and industry alike.
