We’re not even at the halfway point on our TicketWeb Ones To Watch 2018 list and we’ve already showcased so. many. good. bands.

Today’s post is no exception as we delve into the wonderful world of Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever

This Melbourne quintet are already building up a fan base overseas, having been championed by our mates at TicketWeb UK.

With a sound that’s guaranteed to warm up even the chilliest of Melbourne days, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are becoming an essential addition to any indie-pop playlist.

Having formed in 2013 after a successful jam session in guitarist Fran’s bedroom, the band have been slowly building momentum ever since.

Their first EP Talk Tight drew critical acclaim, and landed them a deal with legendary US label Sub Pop (Nirvana, Soundgarden). Their first release on Sub Pop is The French Press EP, which Pitchfork positively reviewed by saying, “Its six songs shine just as bright as those on Talk Tight, but they cast longer, darker shadow” and giving the record 8.1/10.
