Our monthly hotlist for March

We're Marching into the Music with these new recommendations for ya!

March to the Music is back and we’re kicking it off in style. With some brand new tunes to bring in this huge month of music, we’ve got you covered.

Heather by I Know Leopard

Heather rivals I Know Leopard’s first single Landmine –but both songs bring 20th-century soft rock sounds back to our ears. Hopefully this single is followed by the release of a new album. Mitch

Wicked Games by Kiana Lede

This is the first album for Kiana and it’s filled with real smooth soul/R&B tunes. Wicked Games isn’t the title track for the album but it really showcases her bangin’ voice. If you like artists like Ella Mai, Jorah Smith and H.E.R, Kiana is one to watch for sure. Taliah

Dylan Thomas by Better Oblivion Community Center

Pheobe Bridgers follows up the fantastic boygenius team-up with another great collaboration; this time with Conor Orbest of Bright Eyes and Desaparecidos fame. It’s a great little indie album that I’m sure I’ll still be talking about at the end of the year. The track Dylan Thomas stands out as a future single. Ollie

Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself by Alex Lahey

Perfect pick me up to get through hump day, Alex Lahey delivers some rock’n’roll vibes with a saucy new track as part of her newly announced second album The Best of Luck Club, due Friday 17 May. Vanessa

The Barrel by Aldous Harding

New Zealand’s Aldous Harding is back with another mystical folk banger that rolls along at a satisfyingly twee pace that has some serious shades of Belle & Sebastian. Can’t wait for her new album. Ollie

Stay Young by Maisie Peters

A fresh new pop track with a voice that’s addictive to listen to. Looking forward to hearing more from this lady. Sian

Try by Dear Seattle

Dear Seattle’s debut album Don’t Let Go features this banger as one of their main singles and boy, it did not disappoint. These four boys from Nothern Sydney prove once again that they are one of the most exciting up and coming Aussie bands of late. Their down to earth and relatable, honest lyrics hit us right in the feels, as their catchy melodies end up stuck in our head for days on end. A band to catch live soon, that’s for sure. Lee

Dust by Machine Age

I’ve been swooning over Machine Age since his gorgeous debut single Chivalry back in 2015, so news of an impending debut album (Point of Departure – coming soon) is a great way to end February. On their latest single Dust, we get to hear the most self-assured Machine Age yet. The flawless vocals are still here, but it’s the huge electronic beats that are hooking me in for what’s to come. Gloria

Forever by Zak Love

Love’s Forever is an upbeat pop dance track that is fun yet relatable to anyone who has a loved one forever live in their hearts. Great to sing to, even better to dance to. Anna

Big by Fontaines D.C.

If you’ve got your eyes locked on the UK’s music news, you’re probably familiar with Fontaines D.C. by now – if not, here’s your introduction. Marking the opening of their forthcoming debut album, Big is in and out in less than two minutes, but it tells you everything you need to know about what Fontaines are throwing down. If you enjoy the likes of Idles or Shame you best get amongst it now. Gloria
