Tonight Alive are hitting the road at the end of 2017 as they bring their Back To Beginnings tour to Australia.

The Sydney quintet are gearing up to tour on home turf before the year is out, having just confirmed shows in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Retracing their steps to where it all began, this tour will see Tonight Alive revisit some of the most prominent venues they used to play when they were first starting out.

This time around, they’ll be joined by The Beautiful Monument as support, plus local bands that are yet to be discovered.

YOU could be joining Tonight Alive at their headline shows thanks to a competition launched by the band ahead of the tour.

To celebrate their homecoming, Tonight Alive will be running a competition that gives local bands the opportunity to win the opening slot in each city on the tour. But there’s a twist… To apply, the band must have a female member. For more information and to enter the competition, click here.

Explaining the idea, Tonight Alive said, “We have toured with plenty of awesome bands around the world, and we’ve noticed more bands have female members and the number of women getting involved is growing too! The rock genre, and music in general, is male dominated for no good reason at all. Women are awesome and we want to celebrate that. So for this tour we want to know who the best rock bands in Australia with female members are. We’re running a competition in each city to find new and exciting bands to open our shows.”

We’ll have tickets for Tonight Alive’s headline show at The Basement, Canberra on 31 October. Tickets go on general sale at noon (local time) on Thursday 8 June.
