Following all the goodness of last year’s instalment, one day festival extraordinaire Under The Southern Stars have announced another stacked lineup for their 2021 event.

Leading the way are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Cheap Trick. With over 5,000 performances spanning four decades, 20 million records sold worldwide, they have well and truly earned their spot as one of the most influential classic rock groups of the past 50 years.

Joining them are English rockers Bush. Since the release of their debut album Sixteen Stone in 1994, they have been an Aussie favourite, spawning singles like ‘Glycerine’, ‘Everything Zen’ and ‘Comedown’ that are still just as loved today. After taking an extended break from 2001 until 2011, they returned with the huge The Sea of Memories and launched right back into our hearts again.

The American contingent is strong on next year’s Under The Southern Stars lineup thanks to the addition of Stone Temple Pilots. They too will be celebrating a 25-year anniversary, this time for their second album Purple. Becoming one of the world’s top-selling albums in the ’90s, it is still a much-loved record in the band’s storied catalogue, and has even been named as one of the ‘greatest rock & metal albums of all time’.

Thought the sweet sweet nostalgia was going to stop there? Guess again.

Joining the festivities are one of Australia’s longest-running rock acts Rose Tattoo, Melbourne hard rockers Electric Mary, and Ben Hazlewood.
