Sydney Royal Easter Show tops Ticketmaster Awards 2018

We’re thrilled to announce this year’s Ticketmaster Awards winners, celebrating the best-selling events of 2017 across live entertainment in Australia.

Our annual Ticketmaster Awards sets out to acknowledge the best-loved and best-selling Australian events across music, comedy, sport, theatre and family categories in the last twelve months.

“2017 was a truly incredible year for selling tickets and live event attendance and we congratulate all the Ticketmaster Awards winners. Sydney Royal Easter Show has been crowned with the overall ‘Best-selling event’ award. Now in its 195^th year, the iconic event is Australia’s largest annual ticketed-for event attracting 850,000 people each year. For 12 days over Easter, the much-loved family event spreads across 24 pavilions, three entertainment arenas and a variety of outdoor precincts.

Upon receiving the Ticketmaster Award for ‘Best-selling event’, Murray Wilton, General Manager of Agriculture and Sydney Royal Easter Show, said, “It is an honour to continue being Australia’s largest ticketed event and we’re thrilled to win the Ticketmaster Award for the best-selling event of 2017. The Sydney Royal Easter show returns to Sydney Showgrounds this Friday, as the event gets underway for 2018. General tickets and Twilight tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com.au, with the 2018 event taking place between 23 March until 3 April 2018.
