Melbourne band The Temper Trap have announced the official celebrations to mark 10 years since they released their ground-breaking debut album Conditions, locking in a huge Australian tour for this December.

We absolutely refuse to believe that it’s been 10 years since we tried our darndest to hit that sweet, sweet falsetto of ‘Sweet Disposition’, but here we are, and all sources are telling us that it has, in fact, been a decade.

That’s right, on this day ten years ago, young rockers The Temper Trap were unleashing an album that would take them to the stratosphere.

The beauty of Conditions is in its timelessness – every track still remains as stunning as ever, the goosebumps are still there. All of them.

The Conditions tenth-anniversary tour is set to be a special one, with a small run of intimate shows around the country ready to deliver a dose of nostalgia as Conditions is played out live in its entirety.

The success of  ‘Sweet Disposition’ is undeniable, with 5x Platinum sales in Australia, 3x Platinum sales in the UK, and Platinum sales in the United States. The single has, to date, clocked up more than 225 million streams on Spotify alone, while follow-up hit ‘Fader’ and ‘Love Lost’  firmly cemented the band’s rise, seeing the once unknown group debut with Conditions in the Top 10 on the ARIA charts and Top 30 in the UK.

The Temper Trap went on to win ARIA Awards for ‘Best Group’ and ‘Most Popular Australian Single’ for ‘Sweet Disposition’ and the APRA Award for Song Of The Year in 2010, also receiving a 2011 nomination for ‘Best International Breakthrough Artist’ at the UK Brit Awards.

It’s a good thing we’ve got a few months to prepare for these shows, we’re off to get our falsetto ready.
