Sydney City Limits adds new acts to inaugural lineup
Future and Young Thug are among the acts added to Sydney City Limits 2018
Sydney City Limits has stayed true to its promise of more acts with today’s new lineup announcement.
Ensuring it makes an unforgettable dent on the Australian festival scene in its first ever year, Sydney City Limits has just added a bunch of amazing acts to its 2018 bill.
First up is Future, the American rapper, singer and writer who’s become one of the most in-demand names in hip hop, having heavily influenced the Billboard charts with 13 gold and platinum singles, as well as top-selling albums DS2, EVOL and What a Time To Be Alive.
He’ll be joined by Young Thug, fellow US rapper who’s been dubbed ‘the most exciting new voice in hip hop’ by Rolling Stone.
Australia’s very own L D R U will also be in attendance, bringing his self-described ‘trapical’ sounds to fans on home soil.
Rising star Mallrat is another welcome addition to the bill. A new name everyone needs to know, the 17-year-old singer will be schooling her older peers with a fresh lesson in lo-fi pop hip hop.
Perth singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly has also been added into the melting pot of hometown talent, as she hits Sydney City Limits before heading on to make a name for herself overseas at SXSW and The Great Escape Festival.
This lovely lot join already announced acts like Justice, Beck, Vance Joy, Tash Sultana and Gang of Youths at the first ever Sydney City Limits festival.
The exciting new addition to the Aussie festival calendar follows in the footsteps of its legendary sister event, Austin City Limits. So you know it’s going to be killer.
Sydney City Limits takes place at Sydney’s Centennial Parklands on Saturday 24 February, and is a one-day, all ages event buzzing with music, culture, food, art and creative community offerings.
