Following an impressive Australian debut, Indonesian rapper Rich Brian has announced his Australia return will kick off this August.
From overnight Youtube sensation to the face of emerging Asian hip hop, Rich Brian was the talk of the town following his debut Australian shows last May.
Those shows sold out within a matter of minutes, so this time around Rich Brian will take over some of Australia’s biggest theatres.

Arriving in August, the tour will see Rich Brian share music from his new album The Sailor, due for release on Friday 26 July.
“The Sailor is a symbol of being an explorer,” Brian says. “Of exploring uncharted territory and just going through life, curious. It’s my own story as well as the story of all immigrants that brave new worlds for a chance at something better.”
The album is inspired by Brian’s life – in particular the last two years. Growing up homeschooled in Indonesia, he used the internet as his English teacher and window to the world. After moving to America alone at the age of 17, Brian has been both awed and humbled by his experiences, as they simultaneously smack him down to Earth and lift him up.
In the two years since his move, Rich Brian has collaborated with the likes of 21 Savage, Offset, and Playboi Carti, and sold out shows and played festivals around the world. His debut project, Amen, saw him top the iTunes Hip Hop charts – making him the first Asian musician to do so.
Rich Brian will bring his new album The Sailor to Australia this August and September, tickets on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.
