Peter Hook to perform Joy Division and New Order albums on Oz tour

Peter Hook, the former bassist of British outfits Joy Division and New Order, is plotting one heck of an Aussie tour.

Substance will see the musician play two records in full on the tour – Joy Division’s singles compilation Substance and New Order’s compilation album Substance 1987 – this October, which will see him stop in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.

On their previous 2015 Australian tour, Peter Hook & The Light performed two New Order albums in their entirety, as well as heaps of other fan favourites.

This time around, it looks like fans can expect New Order’s Blue Monday, Bizarre Love Triangle and Temptation; and Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart, Transmission and Digital, among others.

We’ll have tickets for Peter Hook & The Light’s show at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Sunday 8 October – on general sale at midday on Friday 17 March at Ticketmaster.com.au.
