Hailing from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Dear Seattle is fronted by Brae Fisher on vocals and guitar, with Lachlan Simpson on lead guitar, Jeremy Baker on bass and Josh McKay on drums.

If you like your music nice and loud that’s exactly what you get here – headbanging, beer-in-the-sky, melodic punk-rock.

Check out their video for The Things You Do which includes some promising footage of what you can expect at a Dear Seattle live show.

The Story

Dear Seattle are a band made on the road. Following the release of their debut EP Words Are Often Useless, the band have spent the past three years building on their dedicated audience up and down Australia’s east coast.

In the course of these live shows the band honed an even braver live sound, which coupled with the collapse of lead singer Brae’s relationship laid the foundations for their eponymous sophomore EP.

Holed up in a secluded farmhouse for a week, with nothing but beers and instruments for company, the band produced their follow-up record. It could’ve all been for nothing with Brae set to take up a post in South America writing for National Geographic, but when the band were featured in a triple j Unearthed post any other plans were forgotten. Thank goodness for that.

Check out their homemade doco below for even more on the band.

Dear Seattle – The Meadows
