Yothu Yindi and The Treaty Project
Yothu Yindi and The Treaty Project officially came to life in 2017 to commemorate the release of the 25thanniversary remix pack of Yothu Yindi’s Treaty. Since then, the group have advocated the need for treaty in respect to Australia’s First Nations people. Popular Indigenous singer-songwriters and former band members will join founding members Witiyana Marika, Stu Kellaway, and Kevin Malngay Yunupingu on stage in this exhilarating electronica-influenced display. Showcasing new remixes of classic Yothu Yindi hits as well as new material with a hip hop-infused flare, Yothu Yindi and the Treaty Project will perform at Hamer Hall on Saturday 4 May. Giannis Ploutarhos
With more than two decades of experience in the music industry, Giannis Ploutarhos is no doubt one of the most successful and popular Laïko singer-songwriters of all time. Who would have suspected that after leaving his agricultural profession at the age of 21, Ploutarhos would go on to release 14 studio albums, go 15 times Platinum, and score a slew of awards including ‘Singer of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ back home in Greece? Ploutarhos will return to Australia for the first time since 2014 when he performs at The Palms at Crown Melbourne on Sunday 5 May. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
Andre Reyes
Son of renowned flamenco artist Jose Reyes, Andre Reyes is one of the original members of the superstar group Gipsy Kings. With hit songs Bamboleo and Djobi Djoba, the salsa-pop-flamenco superstar has sold approximately 20 million albums and performed all over the world. Known for his infectious Latin rhythms and virtuoso guitar playing. Reyes will be heading to Australia in May with his band to perform their live production of rumba, flamenco and salsa music. Andre Reyes will perform at Crown Theatre Perth on Wednesday 15 May and Palais Theatre, Melbourne on Thursday 16 May. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
The Celtic Tenors

Yamato – Drummers of Japan Jhonetsu
The Yamato drummers of Japan put on an unbelievable display of physical strength and endurance in this explosive, high-energy performance. Yamato have performed over 3,500 shows in 54 countries in front of over eight million fans. With heart-thumping rhythms and ferocious beats, watch as the Yamato drummers tackle 400-year-old instruments weighing up to half a tonne each. You’ll hear the unmistakable sound of the traditional Taiko drum – used in Shinto rituals – in a completely new way. Paco Peña
One of the world’s leading traditional Flamenco players, Paco Peña is part of the phenomenon that has transformed the perception of Flamenco around the world. While remaining true to the tradition Spanish artform, Peña expands the genre’s boundaries with his work as a guitarist, composer, dramatist, and producer. This tour will bring together a percussionist, singer, Flamenco dancer, and guitarists – displaying a new flamboyance and beauty to the centuries-old art form. Paco Peña will perform at Melbourne Recital Centre on Friday 4 October, City Recital Hall Sydney on Saturday 5 October, and The Tivoli Brisbane on Sunday 6 October.
