Dangerfield, Grundy, Martin, Cripps, Whitfield, Fyfe lead the list of superstars announced for the big game
Following the release of their mini-album New Songs For Old Problems, alt-rock sweethearts Middle Kids are embarking on a pretty special national tour this November.
Playing some of their biggest headline shows to date, they’ll even be taking the stage at Melbourne’s Forum and Brisbane’s The Tivoli.
2019 has already been a huge year for the Sydney trio. As well as releasing their new record, they played a run of much-lauded sets around the country for Laneway Festival and have spent the last few months touring around America (where they spent a huge chunk of 2018).
In the lead up to the EPs release, Middle Kids took a whirl around the country, previewing tracks from the new record and playing some old favourites in some of Australia’s favourite bandrooms. Anyone lucky enough to be at those sold-out shows will tell you, the new album absolutely rips live.
New Songs For Old Problems follows Middle Kids’ critically acclaimed debut album Lost Friends. With an ARIA top 10 chart result under their belt the band toured the world, including UK and European dates with Bloc Party and a sold sold-out at London’s Village Underground, with performances on several US TV shows including Conan, Jimmy Kimmel and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
The band were also nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Rock Act and landed at #64 on 2018’s triple j’s Hottest 100 with ‘Mistake’ and picked up triple j’s Album of the Year award.
What we’re saying is, Middle Kids are the real deal and if you enjoy them on record, you will be absolutely blown away by their live show.
Middle Kids will bring their new mini-album New Songs for Old Problems around the country this November. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com.au.
