From Ed Sheeran’s hotly-anticipated ÷ (Divide) tour and Lana Del Rey’s return down under, to one-day extravaganzas like Download Melbourne, Twilight at the Track and A Day On The Green, Aussie music fans are royally spoilt for choice this March.

A Day on the Green

The Living End and James Blunt lead A Day on the Green’s March concert calendar, hitting up their now-iconic winery locations in Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

Crossroads Country In The Vines

Welcoming some of the biggest names in country music to Hunter Valley on Saturday 24 March, Crossroads Country in the Vines will be headlined by the genre legend himself, Billy Ray Cyrus. The American singer, songwriter and actor tops an impressive bill featuring Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson and The McClymonts, with even more acts still to be confirmed.

Download Festival Melbourne

The world’s premiere rock and metal festival debuts in Australia on Saturday 24 March at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse, featuring a stellar lineup including Korn, Limp Bizkit, Prophets of Rage, Mastodon, Good Charlotte, NOFX, Gojira and loads more.

Rodrigo y Gabriela

Celebrated Mexican instrumental duo, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their self-titled breakthrough album with shows in Brisbane and Melbourne this March.

Anoushka Shankar

A singular figure in the Indian classical and progressive world music scenes, Anoushka Shankar grew up playing alongside her father and Guru, the legendary Ravi Shankar. Live audiences will be in awe of Anoushka’s deeply expressive music, which draws upon India’s ancient culture, while creating a dynamically intoxicating sense of the contemporary.

Twilight at the Track

John Farnham tops an impressive Twilight at the Track bill, completed by Daryl Braithwaite, The Black Sorrows, Richard Clapton, 1927 and Taxiride. It all takes places on Sunday 18 March at Geelong Racecourse, Breakwater.

SummerSalt

If an afternoon of sun, salt air and sweet music sounds like your kind of thing, then check out this month’s SummerSalt lineup. Multiple acts hit the stage at two NSW locations, on Saturday 24 March in Wollongong and Sunday 25 March in Port Macquarie.

George Ezra

The acclaimed English singer-songwriter is back after selling out his debut Australian tour in 2015 and having regrettably cancelled festival sideshows last July. Raring to go, and with the release of Don’t Matter Now adding fuel to his fire, fans can rest assured that these gigs will be well worth the wait.

Incubus

The California rockers return to the east coast this March, offering fans the first chance to hear new tracks from the band’s eighth studio album, 8, including Nimble Bastard and Glitterbomb. 

Castaway Rottnest Island 

Much loved music festival Castaway sets sail for another adventure on WA’s island paradise – a special Long Weekend edition – the only Castaway of Summer 2018. Revellers can expect a boat-ride to an island, beers on the beach, and the cream of the Aussie contemporary music scene smashing out legendary sets over crisp blue seas.

Live

Original Live lineup – Ed Kowalczyk, Chad Taylor, Patrick Dalheimer and Chad Gracey – have reunited for a worldwide reunion tour, bringing their explosive live show back to Oz fans for the first time in over a decade.

Ministry of Sound Orchestrated 

Ministry of Sound Orchestrated is a celebration of classic dance tracks performed live with the Perth Symphony Orchestra and guest vocalists Daniel Merriweather, Alison Limerick (UK) and Ilan Kidron (The Potbelleez). Epic.

The Avalanches

Australian sonic adventurers The Avalanches are still hot property after their second album rebirth, Wildflower, established them as leaders of the pack.

Lana Del Rey

The three-time Grammy nominated American singer/songwriter returns with her To The Moon tour, in support of latest album, Lust For Life. The record saw the glamorous, Americana-style singer collaborate with the likes of A$AP Rocky, Stevie Nicks, Sean Lennon, and Playboi Carti.

Kamasi Washington

Jaz legend and master composer Kamasi Washington returns to Australia for the first time since his support shows for Kendrick Lamar. He’ll be playing Forum Melbourne while touring in support of EP Harmony Of Difference, which includes single Truth.
