Mac DeMarco announces 2020 Australia tour
Mac is back!
The slacker king is ready to bring his dream machine our way. That’s right, Mac DeMarco has announced his return to Australia, locking in his biggest headline run to date for January 2020.
He’ll be bringing with him his fourth album Here Comes The Cowboy – a record that has been described as a masterpiece, beautiful, and cathartic back when it was released in May.
While his latest album shows a more laidback and introspective DeMarco, onstage he is still the same amped-up jokester we have all come to love. He last treated Australian fans to his rowdy, onstage antics during his sold-out east coast dates and much-celebrated sets at Laneway Festival in 2018.
Making things even more exciting, DeMarco has invited his friends, West Australian psych-rockers Pond and bubblegum punks CHAI from Japan, to join him on this magical mystery journey down the East Coast. Pond and WA punk outfit Cold Meat will open the show in Perth. So basically, what we’re saying is, this tour is huge.
