Live Nation Australia has launched a new community grants program, the Palais Theatre Community Fund, in partnership with City of Port Phillip.

The fund has been set up by Live Nation as part of their 30 year lease of the iconic Melbourne venue, with the aim of supporting the theatre’s surrounding communities of St Kilda and Port Phillip.

Live Nation will be donating 50 cents for every single ticket sold for events at Palais Theatre into the community fund.

The initiative will be awarding grants of up to $5,000 to local registered charities and not-for-profit organisations looking to make a difference and support community activities, infrastructure and people. Funded projects will be providing meaningful and long-lasting benefits to the local community in the City of Port Phillip. Further guidelines are available here.

Want to know more? There will be an info session held at Palais Theatre at 6:30pm on Tuesday 17 April.

Round one applications are now open and will close at 5pm on Friday 18 May, with the lucky winners announced in June.
