Up and coming British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith will play an exclusive headline show in Melbourne on her debut trip Down Under.
The UK R&B artist will be on Australian shores as part of Laneway Festival, but will make a special stop at The Forum, Melbourne in an extra treat for fans after she had to pull out of the festival there.
Smith is nominated for Best New Artist at the 2019 Grammy Awards, after already claiming Critic’s Choice Award at 2018’s Brit Awards, with her single Blue Lights taking out the prize for Best Urban Video at the UK Music Video Awards last year.
The awards follow the success of her stunning debut album Lost & Found. Blending modern jazz with sou, dancehall, and pop, the record has led her to a meteoric rise and see Smith winning fans the world over.
She has already played sell-out dates across the UK, collaborated with Stormzy and Kendrick Lamar, opened arena dates for Bruno Mars, and delivered soulful performances on television shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Later… with Jools Holland and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
