To celebrate the release of their forthcoming third album, Holy Holy have announced a run of national dates spread across September, October, and November.
If you haven’t witnessed a Holy Holy show live, you are well and truly missing out. Luckily, to celebrate the release of their third album My Own Pool of Light, the duo will be spending three months on the road, playing some of the biggest venues in their career throughout September, October, and November.
The absolute power combo of frontman Timothy Carroll’s honey vocals and guitarist Oscar Dawson’s constant trips to shredtown can only leave you in a good mood.
Following two acclaimed albums in 2015’s debut When The Storm Would Come and 2017’s ARIA top-10 record Paint, Holy Holy are indeed shaking things up, shedding the guitar-heavy, indie-rock stylings they’ve become known for and instead commandeering new sonic territory. From drum loops to sampled beats, pitch-shifted vocals, and ethereal sounds, Holy Holy are proving they are definitely more than just a rock band.
While album number three sees the pair redefine exactly what kind of band they are, we promise they aren’t sacrificing the key elements that have made them so loved. The soaring melodies are still present, so are the lush instrumental textures, the mix of jubilance and melancholy, and of course Carroll’s exquisite lyrics.
“We always want to make music that’s exciting and interesting, and that makes you feel something and takes risks,” says Carroll. “This is the album we wanted to make.”
My Own Pool of Light is the biggest creative leap of their career – with soaring melodies and lush instrumental textures, its set to prove exactly why Holy Holy are one of Australia’s most popular acts.
As an added treat, Holy Holy will be joined by special guest Carla Geneve, following the release of her gorgeous self-titled debut EP.
This will be your first chance to hear Holy Holy’s new material live.
Holy Holy will celebrate their new album My Own Pool Of Light around this country this September, October, and November. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.
