Construction is almost completed on Fortitude Music Hall, so that means it’s almost time to party.

There’s no better way to launch the largest ballroom/theatre-styled space in Australia than with the help of some of the country’s favourite musicians – and the Fortitude Music Hall team have gathered an absolute all-star cast for the festivities.

Leading the way are pop-rock masters Ball Park Music. With seven albums under their belts, alongside stacks of sold-out shows around the country, they’ve well and truly earned their place as one of Brisbane’s most successful exports.

They’ll be joined by one of Australia’s most-loved rock acts, DZ Deathrays, who are sure to bring the good times back to their home city. From ruling main stages at Australia’s biggest festivals to playing stadiums alongside Foo Fighters, the party kings are a very welcome addition to the lineup.

Rounding out the main lineup, regional Queensland up and comer Tia Gostelow is set to open proceedings. Her single ‘Strangers’ is an absolute earworm, and after taking out Album of the Year at the QLD Music Awards, the future is looking bright.

That’s not it though, because an incredible host of artists have put their hands up for special appearances throughout the night. Powderfinger alumni and some of Brisbane’s favourite sons Bernard Fanning and Ian Haug will be in attendance, as will Custard frontman Dave McCormack, The Grates frontwoman Patience Hodgson, pop superstar Thelma Plum, and singer-songwriters Busby Marou, Jeremy Neale and Sahara Beck.

Located in Brunswick Street Mall in the heart of Fortitude Valley – Brisbane’s foremost music destination – The Fortitude Music Hall will pay homage to iconic Brisbane venue Festival Hall, which occupied the space from 1959 to 2003. The 3,000 capacity venue already has a stack of top-notch bands set to roll through including Skegss, Architects, and Allday.
