You can purchase digital tickets

Paper tickets are a thing of the past, that’s why all tickets to Festival X have added the option to purchase mobile tickets. Not only does this improve your experience getting into the festival on show day, but mobile tickets also means less scalping, safer and easier transfer to friends, and a better environmental outcome with less waste. If you choose mobile tickets, you can access them via the Ticketmaster app or through the Ticketmaster website on your mobile browser. Find out everything you need to know about Mobile Tickets right here.

Want a memento? Grab a collector ticket

While all general admission tickets are only available via mobile, we know that there are still a lot of music fans that like to collect ticket stubs and that’s where our limited edition Collector Tickets come in.

A collector ticket is a souvenir, 3D-style ticket which not only gets you into the event, it also serves as a treasured keepsake to be kept well after the festival is over.  Collector tickets are only made available for selected events and can be purchased through the normal purchase processes – just be sure to select a “Collector Ticket” specifically when choosing your ticket type. Collector tickets can only be delivered to fans via mail, and cannot be sent as Print-at-Home or E-Tickets, or collected from outlets or the venue. Collector Tickets are not available to those without a valid Australian address. You must provide an Australian postal address to receive Collector Tickets.

There will be ticket limits

We anticipate this festival is going to be popular, so a ticket limit has been put in place of 10 (ten) tickets per customer.

Make sure you have a My Ticketmaster account

Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster account then make sure you sign up in advance – Ticketmaster.com.au. In your account, add your favourite acts and events to your ‘Favourites’ and you’ll get alerts and email reminders before every onsale.

Sign in ahead of time

Remember to triple check your passwords, delivery address, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.

Get online at home

Or work (we won’t tell). Shared public wifi networks can slow you down when speed is what you need.

Sign up to all the presales

Many fan clubs, promoters, venues, and sponsors/companies give fans the chance to get live event tickets before the general public. Every event is different, so make sure you check what perks you’re eligible for and sign up for anything well ahead of time. They may begin and end at different times, so to be one of the first people with a chance at getting tickets make sure you do your research. You can find all the presale information here.

Use more than one device

Two fans are better than one – pass a friend your tablet or phone. Use your phone and your laptop at the same time. Use your phone and someone else’s phone. But make sure you don’t use more than one browser (or browser tab) on each device. We’ll think you’re a bot and cancel your tickets – and after all the hard work you’ve gone to, that’s the last thing we want to happen.

Don’t hit the refresh button

Stick to one window when you’re processing your ticket order and please don’t hit the refresh button. If you do that, you’ll likely end up losing your place in the queue, and as frustrating as it can be, patience is key when trying to buy tickets. Ticketmaster’s sophisticated systems are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is doing all the hard work for you and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Please note, if you see a ‘no tickets available’ message when attempting to purchase tickets, this means there are no tickets available within your search restrictions.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Consider taking a road trip

Head to a nearby city where tickets for a super popular show may be easier to get. On Ticketmaster.com.au click “Change Location” under your city (top, right of the page) and look around for events nearby.

Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.
