The rock gods have answered all your heavy music prayers in the form of the first line-up announcement for Download festival 2019, with 23 acts confirmed and more to come.
The world’s premier rock and metal event has lined up the perfect mix of heavyweight heroes along with crowd faves and the best new Aussie acts.

You won’t want to miss being part of the greatest ever send off for Ozzy Osbourne (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend and Black Sabbath front man) and Slayer (one of metal’s The Big Four), who join Download for the Aussie legs of their final ever world tour. Joining as headliners are British heavy metal legends Judas Priest and American rockers Alice In Chains.

The rest of the line-up will have you fist pumping and throwing out rock horns.

This year saw the Australian debut of Download with 30,000 heavy music fans descending on Flemington Racecourse christening Melbourne into the Download family alongside Donington UK, (the spiritual home of rock); Paris, France; Madrid, Spain.
Download returns to Melbourne in 2019 and will head north to serve up a mammoth line up of sonic brutality and great times to Sydneysiders for the very first time.
