American rockers Death Cab For Cutie have announced they’ll return to Australian stages next year in support of their recently released, ninth album Thank You For Today.

The band will be in Melbourne next March, playing a special show at Arts Centre’s Hamer Hall.

Thank You For Today marks Death Cab’s first album in three years, and presents a band who are still evolving twenty years into their career.

After forming in 1997, the Washington State locals captured the attention of music and pop culture fan’s everywhere with their fourth album, 2003’s Transatlanticism and it’s follow-up Plans (2005). Those albums saw singles like A Lack of Colour and I Will Follow You Into The Dark soundtrack US TV drama The OC – bringing the world of indie-rock to a whole new generation of adolescents.
