Belle and Sebastian announce 2018 Australian tour

Catch the Scottish indie stars at Palais Theatre and The Tivoli during their next headline tour

Belle and Sebastian have locked in some very special headline shows for 2018, having just confirmed plans to tour Australia in the new year.

The Scottish indie royalty will visit Australia for the first time since their hugely successful tour in 2015. In which time they’ve signaled a fresh burst of activity with latest single, I’ll Be Your Pilot.

Among the new shows, Belle and Sebastian will headline Melbourne’s Palais Theatre and The Tivoli in Brisbane next May.

To commemorate 20 years since the band’s previous multi-EP release – 1997’s Dog On Wheels, Lazy Line Painter Jane and 3.. 6.. 9 Seconds Of Light – the twee-pop superstars have also announced the release of three more EPs in quick succession this December. All titled How To Solve Our Human Problems, the first EP will be released on 8 December, the second on 19 January, and the final instalment arrives on 16 February, just ahead of their tour down under.

On the announce, the band said, “We are delighted to be coming back to Australia in 2018, with some new songs to play for you.”
