If you were a child of the ‘80s, chances are you know the words to one of Belinda Carlisle’s iconic pop songs and have found yourself belting out these power ballads while listening to Gold 104/your local classic hits station in the car. Her songs are anthemic, and her music influenced a generation.

Belinda’s incredible third solo album Runaway Horses is 30 next year and to commemorate this milestone, she is heading our way for a national tour. The album produced a number of HUGE top 10 hits and spent 39 weeks in the Aussie charts.

Here’s a little reminder of why Runaway Horses is one of the most iconic albums of the late ‘80s/early ‘90s.

*I (Jackie A) have loved Belinda Carlise since I was seven. Runaway Horses was the first vinyl I owned (I stole it from my big sister). I have seen Belinda perform countless times and each time she gets better and better. ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth’ is my signature karaoke song and when I hear Belinda on the radio or when I put her on at a party, I unashamedly sing at the top of my lungs.
