Five decades on, and The Beatles’ 1969 album Abbey Road is still disrupting the daily commutes of busy Londoners, and now the iconic album will be celebrated on Australian stages by an absolutely chock-full tribute group.

Abbey Road is so much more than just a much-loved and incredibly replicated album cover. Marking the Beatles’ eleventh released album, it stands as the last recording sessions featuring all four band members. While initially criticised by some following its release, it has gone on to become not only one of the most loved and acclaimed albums in the Beatles’ catalogue – no easy feat when you think about the success and impact of their discography as a whole – but also one of the most celebrated albums of all time.

Now some of Australia’s most-loved and celebrated musicians – who are all self-confessed Beatles tragics – will come together to bring The Beatles’ swansong to life on stage. Collectively known as ARC, the group will feature Kram (Spiderbait), Mark Wilson (Jet), Davey Lane (You Am I) and Darren Middleton (Powderfinger). Together they’ll perform Abbey Road in full, from start to finish, followed by a second set covering the breadth of the Beatles’ rich catalogue.

Joining ARC live on stage will be special guests Ash Naylor (Paul Kelly, Even and Rockwiz), Linda Bull (The Black Sorrows, Vika and Linda Bull), Brett Wolfenden (The Pictures, Jim Keays) and James Fleming (Eagle and the Worm, Bob Evans).
