Following the release of their huge eighth album Holy Hell, Architects have announced their highly-anticipated return to Australian stages.

Holy Hell marks the band’s first release since the tragic passing of their founding guitarist and primary songwriter Tom Searle. “Ultimately, there were two choices,” the band’s drummer Dan says. “Feel sorry for yourself and believe the world to be a horrible place and let it defeat you. Or let it inspire us to live the life that Tom would have wanted us to live. I was very worried about people taking away a despondent message from the album. I felt a level of responsibility to provide a light at the end of the tunnel for people who are going through terrible experiences.”

This will be the band’s first tour of Australia since 2017 – where they sold out three shows in Melbourne and two in Sydney – and with the biggest venue’s they’ve ever headlined in Australia locked in, this tour is sure to be nothing less than epic.

To make the tour even bigger, Architects will take the coveted spot of being the first band to announce a show at Brisbane’s newest music venue, The Fortitude Music Hall. While they won’t be the first to take the stage – opening night news is coming soon – they will be one of the first acts to fill the venue.

“We’re as excited as hell to have Architects be one of the first acts to scorch the stage of Fortitude Music Hall. The venue is going to be open to an incredibly diverse array of programming. Already we’re in talks with some of Australia and the world’s largest touring acts, as well as comedy, children’s shows and some very cool surprises,” says head booker Mark Gibbons.

Holy Hell peaked at number 8 on the ARIA charts, reaching number 1 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums and number 3 on the Billboard US Independent Albums charts.
